About the position

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Senior/Lead Application Developer to join their team in Houston, TX. This role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will participate in daily scrums, contribute to architecture discussions, and write clean, maintainable code while implementing new features and fixing bugs primarily in a .NET stack.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily Scrums, retrospectives, and iteration planning sessions.
• Engage in architecture discussions and design decisions.
• Write clean code with appropriate tests and comments.
• Develop unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests.
• Implement new features and resolve bugs using C#, Xamarin/Maui, and .NET APIs.
• Manage database evolution and schema migrations.

Requirements

• Senior or Lead level experience with C# and .NET technologies.
• Ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively.
• Capacity to thrive in a flexible and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of design patterns and coding best practices.
• Familiarity with git or other source code management tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design.
• Familiarity with VueJS.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines and app store releases.
• Knowledge of NServiceBus or other messaging platforms.
• Experience with Azure.
• Experience with Xamarin/Maui for iOS and Android.
