About the position
The Senior Lead Consultant in Air Quality will be part of an interdisciplinary team focused on creating sustainable solutions for environmental challenges. This role involves working closely with both junior and senior team members to address complex air quality issues through engineering evaluations, data analysis, and regulatory compliance. The consultant will play a key role in maintaining client relationships and ensuring deliverables meet client needs efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Estimating air emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources
- Conducting computer modeling of air pollution dispersion and analyzing pollution control measures
- Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data
- Conducting air monitoring and indoor air quality analysis and preparing air quality permit applications
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Maintaining client relationships and managing the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner.
Requirements
- BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or closely related) or science discipline (atmospheric science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, or closely related)
- 6+ years of relevant air quality permitting and/or air quality compliance experience
- Strong mathematical/computational skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
- Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports
