About the position
The Senior Lead Consultant in Air Quality will be part of an interdisciplinary team focused on creating sustainable solutions for air quality challenges. This role involves estimating air emissions, conducting engineering evaluations, and managing client relationships while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The position emphasizes a culture of continuous learning and collaboration among team members with varying levels of expertise.
Responsibilities
- Estimating air emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources
- Conducting computer modeling of air pollution dispersion and analyzing pollution control measures
- Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data
- Conducting air monitoring and indoor air quality analysis and preparing air quality permit applications
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Maintaining client relationships and managing the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner.
Requirements
- BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or closely related) or science discipline (atmospheric science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, or closely related)
- 6+ years of relevant air quality permitting and/or air quality compliance experience
- Strong mathematical/computational skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
- Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports
