About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer within Central Control. This role involves advising leaders on risk mitigation strategies, monitoring and evaluating business controls, and leading the resolution of complex risks across various business lines. The position requires a deep understanding of financial crimes, operational risk, and regulatory requirements, while also providing vision and direction for innovative business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advisor to leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex business-specific risks.
• Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report the impact of decisions and business controls to relevant business groups.
• Lead the strategy and resolution of complex current and emerging risks across multiple areas of the enterprise.
• Provide vision, direction, and expertise on implementing innovative business solutions for complex risks.
• Lead and mentor Control Management project or virtual teams.
• Engage with all levels across the business group to design and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) experience.
• Prior experience in a business control, audit, or compliance role with a focus on governance and operational risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate risk to various levels of staff and management.
• Ability to translate complex data into understandable information and adapt messages to the target audience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a highly matrixed environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
