About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Sr. Lead Control Management Officer to oversee Risk Measurement activities within the Strategy, Digital, and Innovation (SDI) and Global Treasury Management (GTM) Control team. This role is crucial for ensuring the business adheres to the Risk Measurement Program (RMP) requirements, providing guidance to leaders, and leading assessments and presentations related to risk metrics and appetite.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advisor to leaders in maintaining risk metrics and the Statement of Risk Appetite (SoRA) across different business lines.
• Lead the Annual Review of the Risk Measurement Program to confirm and update metrics and the SoRA for SDI and GTM.
• Prepare presentations for the Risk and Control Committee and other risk forums on Risk Appetite and Key Risk Indicators.
• Lead the quarterly group assessment of the Statement of Risk Appetite.
• Monitor, evaluate, input, and report monthly metrics within enterprise tools.
• Lead and mentor Control Management project or virtual teams; provide direction to offshore resources supporting the Risk Measurement program.
• Serve as the key liaison with operational risk, compliance risk, audit, and other key partners for risk measures.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience through work, training, military experience, or education.

Nice-to-haves

• Front line risk/control experience with an emphasis on risk and control self-assessments and issue management.
• Prior audit experience in financial services or significant consulting experience with large financial institutions.
• Experience developing and monitoring key risk indicators.
• Familiarity with the Risk Measurement Program requirements.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with senior management.
