About the position

The Senior Lead Project/Change Manager at Cox Enterprises plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects across the organization. This position requires a results-driven project management professional who can manage multiple objectives and deliverables while establishing project plans and success measurements. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and be an outcome-focused change enabler, capable of fostering relationships with stakeholders and delivering effective change management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large, complex enterprise projects requiring multiple workstreams and functional teams.
  • Ensure project plans are appropriately integrated with other projects being led by the Enablement team and other business efforts.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, task assignments, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Apply change management methodologies and tools in developing change strategies and tactics, including communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify and address project risks and issues.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of change enablement strategies to drive adoption and compliance with new processes.
  • Facilitate project post-mortem evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in program or project management for enterprise-level programs or projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional work teams and influencing outcomes through indirect people leadership.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering them on time and within budget.
  • Advanced project management skills and proficiency in related methodologies, tools, and software, including change management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior executives and key stakeholders through compelling communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing projects using Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
  • Experience in mediating conflicts and negotiating solutions with internal and external partners.
