About the position

The Senior Lead Project/Change Manager at Cox Enterprises plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects across the organization. This position requires a results-driven project management professional who can manage multiple objectives and deliverables while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will leverage their business acumen and change management expertise to enable strategic change and enhance employee experience, ultimately contributing to sustainable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large, complex enterprise projects requiring multiple workstreams and functional teams.
  • Ensure project plans are appropriately integrated with other projects being led by the Enablement team and other business efforts.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, task assignments, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Apply change management methodologies and tools in developing change strategies and tactics, including communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify and address project risks and issues.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of change enablement strategies to drive adoption and compliance with new initiatives.
  • Facilitate project post-mortem evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in program or project management for enterprise-level programs or projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional work teams and influencing outcomes through indirect people leadership.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering them on time and within budget.
  • Advanced project management skills and proficiency in related methodologies, tools, and software, including change management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior executives and key stakeholders through compelling communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing projects using Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
  • Experience in mediating conflicts and negotiating solutions with internal and external partners.
