About the position

The Senior Lead Project Manager at Cox Enterprises plays a critical role in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects across the organization. This position requires a results-driven and action-oriented project management professional who can manage multiple objectives and deliverables simultaneously, establish project plans, and ensure optimal business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, the ability to develop and execute project plans, and a focus on change management to drive adoption and sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large, complex enterprise projects requiring multiple workstreams and functional teams.
  • Ensure project plans are integrated with other projects and business efforts.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, task assignments, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Apply change management methodologies and tools in developing change strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify and address project risks and issues.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of change enablement strategies.
  • Facilitate project post-mortem evaluations to capture lessons learned.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in program or project management for enterprise-level programs or projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional work teams and influencing outcomes through indirect people leadership.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering them on time and within budget.
  • Advanced project management skills and proficiency in related methodologies, tools, and software.
  • Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience managing projects using Scrum or other Agile frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mediating conflicts and negotiating solutions with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to mentor junior project managers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
