About The Position

The Senior Lead Security Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying secure applications while collaborating with product owners to gather requirements. This role involves conducting performance tuning, code reviews, and automating processes to develop enterprise-scale applications. The engineer will also automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines in both on-prem and public cloud environments, support applications post-production, and contribute to security and compliance initiatives within the firm.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology Engineering or related field plus seven years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Security Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Senior IT Consultant, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in the same fields plus five years of experience in the job offered or related occupations.
• Experience in Java 1.8 or greater.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable and efficient back-end systems.
• Experience in enforcing coding standards and best practices.
• Experience with Spring MVC and SpringBoot on enterprise-level applications.
• Experience with Oracle databases.
• Programming skills in Shell scripting.
• Troubleshooting system issues in UNIX.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum processes.
• Experience with CI/CD technologies and processes.
• Experience with Cloud Networking Solutions.
• Experience with VPN, Firewall technologies, and Load Balancing algorithms.
• Experience designing systems to create policies dynamically based on defined rules and implementing governance around this process.
• Experience with zero-trust security models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications.
• Work with product owners to gather requirements and design scalable and secure applications.

• Write unit/integration test cases for application modules.
• Support and maintain applications post-production deployment.
• Learn and advance new projects to support Network Product Line Customers.
• Support design and architecture recommendations for robust applications.
• Contribute to risk, security, and compliance initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and implement Security Operations Center (SOC) processes and procedures.
• Prepare run books for first line of defense handling security incidents.
