As a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Community & Consumer Banking - Infrastructure & Production Management Team, you will elevate your engineering prowess by collaborating with a team of exceptionally gifted professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to work with stakeholders to define non-functional requirements (NFRs) and availability targets for the services in your application and product lines. You will ensure that these NFRs are integrated into the design and testing phases of your products, effectively measuring customer experience through service level indicators, and defining service level objectives in collaboration with stakeholders to implement them in production. In this role, you will create high-quality designs, roadmaps, and program charters that will be delivered by you or the engineers under your guidance. You will provide advice and mentoring to other engineers, acting as a key resource for technologists seeking guidance on both technical and business-related issues. Demonstrating site reliability principles and practices will be a daily expectation, as you champion the adoption of site reliability throughout your team. You will collaborate with others to create and implement observability and reliability designs for complex systems that are robust, stable, and minimize additional toil or technical debt. Your expertise will extend to becoming an authority on the applications and platforms within your remit, understanding their interdependencies and limitations. You will evolve and debug critical components of applications and platforms, making significant contributions to JPMorgan Chase's site reliability community through internal forums, communities of practice, guilds, and conferences. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the reliability and performance of critical systems while fostering a culture of excellence in site reliability engineering.
