About the position

The Senior/Lead Snowflake Developer will be responsible for leveraging expertise in Snowflake DB to design and implement data solutions that optimize performance and cost. This role involves creating SQL procedures, building efficient data pipelines, and utilizing Snowflake functionalities such as Streams and Tasks. The position requires a strong background in data warehousing and data architecture, particularly in enterprise-scale environments. The developer will also engage in debugging and analyzing business applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise in Snowflake DB and its architecture principles.
• Utilize Snowflake functionalities such as Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel.
• Create SQL procedures and build efficient data pipelines.
• Load and unload data in various formats including CSV, JSON, and VARIANT.
• Implement debugging techniques to analyze business applications.
• Develop UDFs and UDTFs using Python within Snowflake.
• Manage code versioning using tools like Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Create database objects that support business processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in software development with Snowflake and Python.
• Expertise in Snowflake DB and its architecture principles.
• Experience with data warehousing, data architecture, and ETL data pipelines.
• Proficient in creating SQL procedures and building data pipelines efficiently.
• Strong debugging skills to analyze business applications.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Testing, and CI/CD processes such as Jenkins, BB, and JIRA.

• SnowFlake Certification preferred.
