About the position

The Senior Lead Full Stack Software Engineer at Capital One Software is responsible for leading technology projects and a team of developers to create robust, cloud-native solutions in data management and security. This role involves writing high-quality code, conducting design reviews, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive powerful customer experiences. The position is remote eligible and focuses on innovation in the enterprise B2B software market.

Responsibilities

• Lead diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
• Write high-quality code and perform code and design reviews.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Promote a culture of engineering excellence and reuse solutions where possible.
• Guide stakeholders in design and architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with architects and product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree.
• 10+ years of experience in Java, Python, Go/GoLang, JavaScript, TypeScript, or SQL.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new/existing systems.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
