As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, you will lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers focused on creating solutions that meet regulatory needs. Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
• Create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company.
• Stay updated on tech trends and experiment with new technologies.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize various programming languages and tools to develop applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 4+ years of site reliability engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in improving observability, performance efficiency, and resilience of applications.
• 2+ years of experience in building architecture and design of systems.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
