About The Position
Peraton is currently seeking to hire a Senior Lead Systems/Network Engineer to become a part of Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program. This role is critical in providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. The position is based in Arlington, VA, and involves leading and managing a small IT support team and server administrators. The Senior Lead Systems/Network Engineer will be responsible for managing domain accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment, ensuring that all operations align with the security protocols and standards set forth by the Department of State. In this role, the engineer will also be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures. This includes overseeing the installation and configuration of network devices, monitoring network performance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The engineer will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure that all systems are secure and functioning optimally, while also providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members. The position requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Senior Lead Systems/Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and industry best practices.
