This position is located in the greater Seattle area and works through a hybrid work environment, with a minimum 2 days in the Seattle office.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR, Leaders, and Stakeholders to plan a cohesive learning strategy for the organization that bridges gaps between business goals and employee development.
  • Design and develop concise, engaging, and effective training materials and lead sessions that enable learners to apply what they have learned into day-to-day workflows to improve job performance (i.e. Leadership Development, Employee Development).
  • Develop and deliver technical departmental training curriculum for Claims, Operations, Underwriting.
  • Develop and deliver skills-based training across the organization.
  • Use a combination of delivery methods for trainings - virtual, in person, asynchronous, etc.
  • Track, report, and evaluate training programs for participation and effectiveness; make recommendations for new solutions and to improve existing offerings.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Learning & Development, applying adult learning principles to professional development.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and content creation.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Training & Development, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong research, planning, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Skilled facilitator with the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and various skill levels.
  • Deep understanding of learning and performance principles, including e-learning, learning management systems, and instructional design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Claims or Underwriting, preferred
  • Prior experience in Property & Casualty Insurance preferred.
