About the position

The Senior Learning & Development Specialist role at Guardian focuses on enhancing the leadership skills and abilities of leaders within the organization. This position is integral to supporting Guardian's growth strategy by designing, supporting, and executing leadership development and learning strategies. The specialist will develop initiatives that foster a strong learning culture, utilizing adult learning theories and instructional design techniques to create impactful learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge in and experience with adult learning theories, methods, and strategies.
  • Identify, design, and deliver mixed-media content for enterprise learning programs.
  • Develop measures to quantify learning applications and leverage metrics for strategic planning.
  • Create learning strategies to embed learning in the flow of work and measure impact.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Apply instructional design theories and best practices to produce effective learning solutions.
  • Develop digital and mobile-first training resources such as eLearning and performance support materials.
  • Analyze course enrollments and completion rates to implement strategies for improvement.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends in learning to develop best-in-class solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to implement programs for talent development and retention.
  • Facilitate engagement and market programs to drive adoption and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a corporate setting creating content and facilitating learning sessions.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365 applications and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of human-centered design principles and instructional design experience.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously.

  • Proven experience in demonstrating initiative and being resourceful.
