About the position

As a Senior Learning & Development Specialist at Titan America, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning experiences that enhance the knowledge and skills of our employees. This position is crucial for fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization. You will report directly to the Learning and Development Manager and collaborate closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to create engaging, effective, and innovative learning materials. Your contributions will directly impact employee performance and career growth, aligning with Titan America's commitment to excellence and sustainability. In this role, you will be responsible for instructional design, which includes creating and designing engaging and interactive learning content such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and assessments. You will also engage in graphic design to develop training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, and learner guides that align with learning objectives and organizational goals. Utilizing e-learning authoring tools, you will create engaging courses that incorporate multimedia elements and interactivity, ensuring a rich learning experience for employees. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the learning content. You will manage and upload content to the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring easy access and tracking of employee progress. Conducting needs assessments will be part of your responsibilities, as you design and implement training and staff development initiatives to enhance employee performance in achieving the company's goals. Additionally, you will facilitate training programs, conduct in-person and virtual seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions. Consulting with stakeholders to determine training needs and scheduling training sessions will be essential. You will also provide career coaching, including 360 assessment debriefs and drafting Individual Development Plans (IDP). Your collaboration with the L&D team will support organizational learning and development initiatives, making you a key player in Titan America's mission to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Create and design engaging and interactive learning content, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and assessments.
  • Design training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, and learner guides, aligned with learning objectives and organizational goals.
  • Utilize authoring tools to create engaging e-learning courses, incorporating multimedia elements and interactivity.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and relevance of learning content.
  • Manage and upload content to the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring easy access and tracking of employee progress.
  • Design and implement needs assessments for training and staff development to enhance employee performance.
  • Facilitate training programs, conduct in-person and virtual seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions.
  • Consult with stakeholders to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
  • Consult with employees and their managers to suggest appropriate learning paths in support of career/professional development.
  • Design and implement assessments for learning effectiveness.
  • Build courses in the LMS, assign them to learners, and track results for in-person, e-learning, and virtual classes.
  • Provide career coaching, including 360 assessment debriefs and drafting Individual Development Plans (IDP).
  • Collaborate with the L&D team in support of organizational L&D initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field.
  • Portfolio of instructional design and content development examples.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and e-learning best practices.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
