About the position

The Senior Level CAD Designer position at POWER Engineers involves drafting and designing for electrical utility and renewable energy projects. The role supports site civil and land development engineering, focusing on various aspects such as grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and access road layout. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility between home and office work.

Responsibilities

• Draft and design for electrical utility and renewable energy projects.
• Support site civil and land development engineering including plan and profiles, grading and earthwork.
• Implement erosion and sediment controls, stormwater management, and drainage solutions.
• Design access road layouts and grading plans.

Requirements

• 10+ years of design and drafting experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with AutoCAD versions 2016-2025.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments as project needs evolve.
• Strong self-checking skills for completeness and accuracy of work.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

• 8+ years of design experience with AutoCAD 3D.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office suite.
• Good background in site development and construction.
• Associates degree in drafting or equivalent technical degree.
