As a Senior Level Database Administrator at Peraton, you will play a crucial role in leading the Foundation GEOINT Standards (FGS) database management and the FGS-DPS Cloud buildout. This position involves overseeing database migration, edits, report generation, and database administration, as well as API integration with user interface (UI) development. You will assist in leading the Source Foundation GEOINT (SF) Standards Team, focusing on building and maintaining a usable database environment and structure that supports the enhancement and maintenance of cloud-based applications. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with customers to define and shape the FGS cloud-based DevOps strategic vision and the buildout of SF symbology data-driven online presence using Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) DevOps technologies. As a strong team player and self-starter, you will be comfortable working in a complex and multifaceted development environment. You will also attend and contribute to the Defense Geospatial Information Working Group (DGIWG) technical meetings, which serve as an international forum for Symbology Standards. In this role, you will need to manage priorities effectively, ensuring connectivity between internal and external application programming interfaces (APIs). Your ability to work independently and as a team leader under tight deadlines will be essential. You will provide expertise to interpret and implement customer data requirements while maintaining and tracking an Agile schedule using appropriate project management tools such as Redmine or JIRA. Additionally, you may need to work with international partners, which may involve travel for face-to-face meetings, although you will also be expected to communicate effectively via email and teleconference.
