About the position

SHINE Systems & Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Senior-Level Tactical Support Engineer to perform comprehensive system support services across five key areas: Tactical Software Support, Mapping, Imagery and Geospatial Information System Support, Tactical Network Administration, Training Support, and Enhancement and Upgrade Support. This role requires expertise in both Level I (Critical/Urgent) and Level II (Routine) support, as well as the ability to mentor and supervise Mid-Level Support Engineers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective integration and operation of tactical systems in support of military operations. In this position, the Senior-Level Tactical Support Engineer will lead, train, mentor, and supervise Mid-Level Support Engineers in providing tactical support services. They will coordinate with government and military entities to integrate new technologies, including participation in the USSOCOM TACLAN Program, and develop field test criteria for Special Operations Forces (SOF) components. The engineer will oversee the planning and integration of mission requirements, ensuring interoperability with Special Tactics operational partners and compliance with FAA regulations. The role also involves network administration and security, where the engineer will install, configure, and troubleshoot VMware server virtualization products and network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring compliance with Federal Information Processing guidelines. Additionally, the engineer will provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 Help Desk support, manage TACLAN images, and address Category I vulnerabilities in support of system accreditation. GIS and mapping support will be a key responsibility, including collecting, processing, and analyzing GIS data to maintain up-to-date map data for SOA aircraft. Training development and delivery are also critical components of this role, as the engineer will design and deliver training programs for home station, operational, and deployed units, including the development of training syllabi and hands-on instruction of fielded software and hardware. Finally, the engineer will generate necessary documentation to obtain Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and conduct quality assurance and functional testing.
