About the position

The Senior Lighting Product Development Engineer and Product Line Manager at ELCO Lighting is responsible for designing, developing, and managing new lines of LED lighting fixtures for both residential and commercial markets. This role involves ensuring production quality, coordinating compliance with various standards, and providing technical support to customers. The position requires a detail-oriented engineer with a strong background in lighting and the ability to work collaboratively with teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage new lines of LED lighting fixtures for residential and commercial markets
• Conduct production quality control and inspection of manufactured fixtures
• Coordinate UL, CA Title 24, DLC and Energy Star requirements with production
• Improve existing product lines design
• Provide product technical support to customers
• Coordinate with engineering and product development team to develop, analyze and establish requirements, specifications, procedures and other engineering documents necessary for product listing
• Work with test labs to ensure timely approvals of product lines
• Test product samples
• Ensure products conform to all rebate programs requirements of Energy Star and DLC

Requirements

• Strong LED lighting knowledge
• Minimum 5 years of experience working within the lighting industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of UL, CA Title 24, DOE, DLC standards, testing requirements and procedures
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in the lab as well as in the field
• An interest in technical and engineering activities
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
