Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to join a dedicated Network Infrastructure team supporting a military program located in Dahlgren, Virginia. This position is completely on-site and requires the candidate to have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. The Senior Linux System Administrator will be responsible for a variety of IT services systems administration tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and management of both Linux and Windows systems within a military context. In this role, the Senior Linux System Administrator will utilize their detailed understanding of both Windows and Linux systems to perform essential systems administration and operational tasks. This includes the operation, administration, and upgrading of computer systems, devices, and software. The administrator will also be tasked with deploying software applications, which involves scheduling, executing, and troubleshooting the deployment process. Additionally, the role includes providing certificate management services and provisioning computer systems and services to meet the needs of the military program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, with at least 5 years of experience in the field. They should also be proficient in scripting and automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, and Ansible, as well as have experience with containerization technologies like Rancher, Kubernetes, and Docker. An active IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+, CCNA, or CySA+, is required, along with the necessary security clearance upon hire.
