About the position

The Senior Linux System Administrator at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) plays a crucial role in supporting mission-critical applications. This position involves maintaining and upgrading systems, ensuring security through patching and vulnerability management, and providing continuous monitoring. The role offers opportunities to work with modern technologies in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the safety and efficiency of operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and upgrading the Kubernetes clusters on the systems.
• Patching, upgrading, scanning, reporting, and remediation of vulnerabilities for the systems.
• Providing support to create/maintain ATO for the systems.
• Continuous monitoring of all systems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• 10 years of experience as a System Administrator for Linux (Red Hat and CentOS) and Windows/VMware.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or 5 years of additional SA experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with System Administration in the cloud (deploying and operating services and applications in an Amazon AWS/C2S infrastructure environment).
