About the position

The Senior Linux System Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting the organization's network systems, ensuring their availability and security. This role involves hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of local and wide area networks, as well as providing support for Internet systems. The position requires a strong background in Linux and network security, along with the ability to work onsite with some remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems.
• Monitor network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• Administer network security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, or an Associate's degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
• Minimum of Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
• Strong Linux experience.
• Security+ Certification required.
