Senior Linux System Administrator

About the position

Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to join a DoD consulting company. This position is onsite in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• May administer network security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience, Associates degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Security+ Certification required.
