About the position

The Senior Linux System Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting the organization's network systems, ensuring their availability and security. This role involves installation, configuration, and maintenance of local and wide area networks, as well as monitoring network performance and implementing necessary security measures. The position is onsite in San Diego, CA, and requires a strong background in Linux systems and network administration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems.
• Monitor network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance.
• Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• Administer network security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, or an Associate's degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
• Secret security clearance.
• Proficient Linux experience.
• Security+ Certification required.
