About the position

3dB Labs is looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to support their corporate team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves providing end-user support, maintaining and troubleshooting Linux hardware, and ensuring the smooth operation of various systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and interpersonal abilities to respond quickly to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for Linux systems and hardware.
• Set up, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux hardware including laptops and receiver kits.
• Familiarize new employees with various systems such as Email (Exchange), OneDrive, InTune, JIRA, and others.
• Acquire hardware for Linux installations and create a pipeline for hardware acquisition.
• Install Linux, SCEPTRE, drivers, and ensure compatibility of software and demo kits.
• Assist in creating, configuring, restoring, and migrating VMs on VMware ESXi.
• Create and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Run cables as needed.

Requirements

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret Clearance.
• 8-15 years of IT Linux experience.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in IT, Computer Systems, or a similar field.
• Expertise in Linux distributions: Rocky, CentOS, RHEL, and Ubuntu.
• Experience in specifying and acquiring hardware for Linux installations.
• Current or past US security clearance is a major plus.
