About the position

The Senior Linux Systems Administrator role is part of the Network Cloud Operations team, responsible for the 24x7 operations, administration, and maintenance of server infrastructure in a Linux-based cloud environment. This position involves deploying software updates and managing various software components, including Linux OS, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and more, ensuring high availability and reliability of the cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Perform software maintenance and operations of systems used in the cloud environment.
• Conduct feasibility assessments and create requirements for technical solutions.
• Manage projects and integrate technical solutions for software deployment.
• Restore applications/services in the infrastructure during outages or service degradation.
• Coordinate with OS vendors and development teams for root cause analysis and configuration changes.
• Implement changes in the server environment and ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Linux System Administration.
• 3-5 years of experience with Dell and HP x86 based Hardware Break/fix.
• 1-3 years of experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD processes.
• Proficiency in Jenkins Pipeline Executing and Merging, GitHub Repository Management, and Python & shell scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in Systems Administration of Linux, Cloud, OpenStack, and Kubernetes environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Systems Administration of Linux, OpenStack, and Kubernetes is preferable.
• Experience with Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and API management.
