AMLaw 100 law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their growing office in Century City. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of civil litigation experience in a mid-size or large defense firm and demonstrate proficiency with all aspects of the litigation lifecycle. This position is critical to the firm’s operations, as the Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, ensuring that all necessary documentation and preparations are completed efficiently and accurately. The responsibilities of the Litigation Paralegal will include conducting thorough research to support legal proceedings, which is essential for building strong cases. The candidate will be responsible for propounding and responding to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, requests for production, and subpoenas. Additionally, managing trial preparation is a significant aspect of this role, which includes organizing trial exhibits, charts, trial notebooks, subpoenas, and page lines. The Litigation Paralegal will also assist in creating and maintaining case chronologies, indices, and case files, which are vital for tracking the progress of cases and ensuring that all information is readily accessible. Moreover, the candidate will be tasked with cite checking and proofreading pleadings and briefs to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Coordinating document productions is another key responsibility, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
