About the position

The Senior Living Executive Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a senior living community, ensuring high-quality resident experiences, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. This role involves creating and executing business plans, managing staff, and fostering a positive community culture while driving sales and occupancy growth.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the day-to-day operations of a community with 60-175 units and two product lines.
  • Responsible for associate relations, resident engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Creates and executes the business plan to become a preferred senior living community.
  • Develops and manages annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring performance against goals.
  • Builds strong relationships with the management team and encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Empowers department leaders to supervise and motivate staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training high-quality associates.
  • Maintains positive resident relations and proactively resolves issues.
  • Oversees resident services, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrates financial acumen by analyzing and executing budgets to meet revenue and occupancy goals.
  • Drives sales and marketing efforts to meet or exceed occupancy targets.
  • Identifies and builds relationships with local influencers to raise community profile.
  • Ensures buildings and grounds meet company standards through preventative maintenance and inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of three years related operational leadership experience required.
  • Must have a valid administrator license in states where required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for business use.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft software preferred.
  • Experience in senior living or healthcare management.
