About the position

Motto Mortgage is seeking a Senior Loan Officer to assist clients in achieving homeownership through effective financing solutions. This role involves leading by example, providing expert advice, mentoring junior team members, and managing a diverse portfolio of mortgage loans, all while contributing to the branch's growth in Wichita, KS.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guiding them through the mortgage process from application to closing.
• Assess clients' financial situations to recommend appropriate loan products, including FHA, VA, conventional, and other mortgage programs.
• Ensure all loan transactions comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Mentor and support junior loan officers, sharing best practices and providing training to help them achieve their goals.
• Actively network within the community to develop referral sources and generate new business opportunities.
• Work closely with loan processors to ensure timely and accurate processing of mortgage applications.
• Stay updated on market trends, interest rates, and regulatory changes to provide clients with the best possible advice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending, with a proven track record of successful loan origination.
• Must hold a current NMLS license.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting processes, and real estate markets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in mortgage software and CRM tools.
