About the position

The Senior Loan Portfolio Reporting and Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting on credit portfolio risk, as well as designing, building, and maintaining standardized and ad-hoc reporting using large data sets. This role supports executive management and various departments by providing insights through comprehensive dashboards and reports, ensuring compliance with loan policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Loan Portfolio Analyst with the development of Microsoft Power BI Dashboards and reports.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the design of dashboards and system reporting software.
  • Act as the primary back-up for stress testing and related documentation.
  • Utilize loan portfolio information systems to detect and report emerging credit risks.
  • Assist with reporting and analysis of compliance with loan policy and regulatory rules.
  • Validate data used for loan portfolio analysis in collaboration with other departments.
  • Attend meetings of the Current Expected Credit Loss Committee (CECL) as needed.
  • Manage special projects and develop ad hoc reports.
  • Prepare reports for the annual FDIC/State Examination and other internal/external reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, and regulatory issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or related software is strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree in business administration or equivalent post graduate banking school degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Cognos or similar report writing and data visualization software preferred.
  • General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience or working knowledge related to credit administration, loan administration, and compliance preferred.
  • Minimum 12 or more years of banking experience.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with an affinity for technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Instructions for Preparation of Call Report preferred.
  • Experience in the preparation of data for regulatory reporting.
  • Familiar with banking regulations preferred.
