The Senior Logistics Manager, Disks will play a crucial role in supporting the Columbus Forge Disks module center as part of the Nickel Powder Value Stream. This position reports to the site materials leader and requires collaboration with Production Control and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely product delivery to and from vendors and customers. The successful candidate will embrace Pratt & Whitney's CORE (Customer Oriented, Results and Excellence) Operating System and champion lean manufacturing principles in a high-performance team environment. In this role, the Senior Logistics Manager will manage shipping and receiving teams, set up and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments, and direct the flow of materials and products to and from the vendor base. The position also involves working with cross-functional teams to implement logistical improvements, developing reporting tools to track material and product locations throughout the value stream, and overseeing the export process of products while managing inventory in Raw Material and Finished Goods warehouses. This position is essential for ensuring operational efficiency and excellence in logistics management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping and receiving teams for the Columbus Forge Disks business unit.
  • Setup and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments; direct flow of material and product to and from the vendor base.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement logistical improvements.
  • Develop reporting tools to track material and product location throughout the value stream.
  • Oversee the export process of products; manage inventory in Raw Material and Finished Goods warehouses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing, materials, operations management, program/project management, supply chain/logistics or continuous improvement environment, or a Master's Degree and minimum 7 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Experience in production control and/or materials planning, inventory management & delivery assurance.
  • Demonstrated experience using ERP systems and applying analytical skills to drive results.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging operational background, internal customer focus, relationship development and communication skills for continuous improvement, business and team success.
  • CORE or equivalent certification including process maturity development and root cause corrective action methods and tools.
  • Master's degree.
