About the position

The Senior Machine Learning and Vision Systems Engineer at Comprehensive Logistics Co. Inc. (CLI) plays a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing processes through advanced vision systems and machine learning technologies. This position involves designing and optimizing image acquisition systems, integrating machine vision into manufacturing, and managing engineering projects that support plant operations. The engineer will work collaboratively with various teams to improve processes and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize image acquisition manufacturing equipment systems, including camera selection, optic lens selection, lighting, and calibration techniques.
• Integrate machine vision manufacturing equipment systems into manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot machine vision-related manufacturing equipment issues.
• Manage multiple engineering projects that support plant operations, ranging from process improvements to development and installation of new tooling.
• Teach, lead, and continuously improve all areas of the business.
• Interface with all aspects of operations including quality, materials, and maintenance.
• Work closely with CLI plant liaisons on a daily basis regarding any issues.
• Follow and improve the CLI business systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Controls Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of three (3+) years of experience as a Manufacturing/Visions Engineer in an Automotive Manufacturing or Assembly Facility.
• Experience with Emerging Technologies including Vision Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things.
• Understanding and experience of assembly, tooling, equipment, and ROBOTICS.
• Tier 1 automotive experience is required.
• Sub-assembly and Sequencing experience are required.
• Start-Up, Equipment Installation and Launch experience required.
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
