About the position

This position involves leading the development and optimization of computer vision algorithms for autonomous systems, particularly in the context of drone technology. The candidate will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of expertise in machine learning and computer vision within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimization of computer vision algorithms for autonomous systems.
  • Design and implement machine learning models for resource-constrained environments.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate computer vision systems into hardware architecture.
  • Conduct testing and validation of computer vision algorithms in various scenarios.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of machine learning and computer vision expertise.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on machine learning and computer vision.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in machine-learning-based computer vision, ideally in robotics.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying computer vision systems in real-time or safety-critical applications.
  • Proficient in Python and C++, with experience in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Experience with embedded systems and integrating computer vision algorithms into hardware.
  • Familiarity with sensors such as cameras, LIDAR, and RADAR.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mentoring and collaborating with engineers to solve technical challenges.
