About The Position

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will join Visa's merchant data platform data science and modeling team to develop AI-powered solutions that enhance merchant data, discover insights, and ensure data quality. This role emphasizes a strong background in machine learning and data science, with a focus on production-level solutions, particularly in natural language processing and deep learning. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 2-3 days a week based on business needs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields with 2+ years of experience or a master's degree with relevant experience.
• Skilled in SQL, Python, and basic libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn and Pandas.
• Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Query Engines.
• Relevant experience in modeling techniques such as logistic regression, Naive Bayes, SVM, decision trees, natural language processing, or neural networks.
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD tooling and concepts such as Docker and Jenkins.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Airflow or Metaflow.
• Understanding of ML infrastructure concepts such as feature store, batch inference, and model pipeline orchestration.

• Design production-level machine learning solutions, ideally with NLP and deep learning.
