About the position

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer for Generative AI Products at HBS Foundry is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced generative AI models that enhance the entrepreneurial journey for users on the platform. This role involves operationalizing machine learning models, managing AI algorithms, and collaborating with a dynamic team to create innovative tools that democratize access to entrepreneurial resources.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy multi-agent AI tools that assess and provide feedback on venture-related submissions.
  • Automatically generate pitch decks, financial projections, and marketing strategies to support entrepreneurs.
  • Simulate important entrepreneurial interactions such as customer interviews and negotiations with investors.
  • Design generative AI models using natural language processing and machine learning techniques.
  • Create an AI-powered system to determine learner profiles and provide customized learning pathways.
  • Integrate AI tools into the HBS Foundry platform for user accessibility.
  • Build compliance rules and oversight workflows into the GenAI tools.
  • Continuously improve AI tools based on user feedback.
  • Monitor, debug, track, and resolve production issues.
  • Collaborate with the Foundry Project Director to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
  • Work with Product Managers to track performance KPIs and prioritize improvements.
  • Present prototypes and progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on AI/ML research and identify enhancements for the platform.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality AI experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, statistics, or an equivalent technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience building Generative AI models and tools.
  • Expertise in NLP, deep learning, and relevant techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow.
  • Experience with advanced workflows such as retrieval augmented generation and model chaining.
  • Experience integrating AI into consumer-facing applications.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, big data tools, and cloud provider solutions.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field within AI/ML.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Passion for using AI to solve real-world problems.
  • Experience establishing model guardrails and developing bias detection techniques.
