About the position

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer role is a contract-to-hire position focused on designing and implementing algorithmic product architectures to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiencies within a large American global hotel chain. The position requires collaboration with data science, engineering, and architecture teams to activate machine learning models and ensure data needs are met. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, innovative, and committed to leveraging the latest techniques in data science and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Partner with data scientists to design workflows/architectures that activate ML models and maximize their impact.
• Develop prototype solutions of algorithmic products leveraging appropriate AWS services with consideration for scale and latency.
• Implement and productionize final solutions via infrastructure-as-code pattern.
• Implement data processing workflows to enhance the Feature Store with impactful data including data cleansing/imputation logic.
• Enhance existing algorithmic products architecture/workflow as needed to maximize impact.
• Partner with data engineering team to ensure data science data needs are delivered in the appropriate format/cadence.
• Stay up to date with latest design patterns and AWS services with respect to Machine Learning Engineering.
• Collaborate with data architecture, data governance, and security teams to ensure solutions meet required standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of implementing software product solutions in a cloud environment with a focus on algorithmic/machine learning products.
• Expertise in AWS cloud services.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark, Docker.
• Experience with streaming and batch data architectures at scale.
• Experience operating in an Agile Methodology environment.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
