About the position

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer (NLP) at Suki will play a crucial role in developing the digital assistant for healthcare, focusing on enhancing the voice user interface that aids doctors in managing electronic health records. This position involves leveraging expertise in natural language processing (NLP) to improve computational infrastructure and usability for thousands of doctors, ultimately aiming to reduce their administrative workload and enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

• Address the computational infrastructure using NLP techniques.
• Make improvements to current processes and systems.
• Work directly on the platform that powers microservices.
• Scale the platform for thousands of doctors.
• Implement a microservices architecture using Go.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall Machine Learning experience, with at least three years focused on NLP.
• Proven record of an end-to-end workflow and moving at least three NLP models to an enterprise production system.
• Expertise in understanding, practicing, and deploying state-of-the-art deep neural network models.
• Proven ability to build and maintain distributed backend services for ML/AI applications.
• Experience taking product technical design from inception to production.
• Strong grasp of CS fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and design.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Golang, Python, React, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, gRPC, and GraphQL.
