As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the Recommendation team for TikTok eCommerce, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative algorithms and techniques that enhance user engagement and satisfaction. This position is part of a fast-growing e-commerce business that connects customers with excellent sellers and quality products through live-streaming, short videos, and commodity recommendations. Our team consists of applied machine learning engineers and data scientists focused on e-commerce recommendations, and we are excited to apply large-scale machine learning to solve real-world problems in this domain. In this role, you will participate in building large-scale e-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems, which include commodity recommendations, live stream recommendations, and short video recommendations. You will be responsible for building long and short-term user interest models, analyzing and extracting relevant information from vast amounts of data, and designing algorithms that efficiently explore users' latent interests. Additionally, you will design, develop, evaluate, and iterate on predictive models for candidate generation and ranking, which includes building real-time data pipelines, feature engineering, model optimization, and innovation. You will also design and build supporting and debugging tools as needed to ensure the smooth operation of these systems.
