About the position

This role involves designing and building large-scale machine learning algorithms to optimize e-commerce search engines, including aspects such as ranking, query analysis, and correlation calculations. The position requires a deep understanding of various business indicators related to sorting scenarios, such as relevance, click-through rates, and conversion rates. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for building machine learning solutions and algorithm strategies through the analysis of extensive user queries. This will empower merchants and improve the overall matching capabilities of the platform. You will also analyze creator and merchant behaviors using large datasets to develop targeted algorithm strategies that enhance monetization efficiency and promote industrial upgrading. Your work will support the rapid development of TikTok's e-commerce business, serving millions of merchants and striving to provide users with the best shopping experience while fostering healthy ecological development. The ideal candidate will possess a solid programming foundation, proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, Python, or Shell, and experience in algorithm development. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks and algorithms is essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience in search engines, recommendation systems, and computational advertising is preferred. Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale machine learning algorithms to optimize e-commerce search engines, including ranking, query analysis, and correlation calculations.
• Build machine learning solutions and algorithm strategies through the analysis of user queries to empower merchants and improve platform matching capabilities.
• Analyze creator and merchant behaviors using large datasets to develop targeted algorithm strategies that enhance monetization efficiency.

Requirements

• Proficient in at least one programming language: C++, Python, Shell, with a solid programming foundation and good programming style.
• Experience in algorithm development, familiar with the application and optimization of Sparse LR, DFFM, Deep&Wide, and DSSM on large-scale sparse data.
• Familiar with at least one mainstream deep learning programming framework (TensorFlow/Caffe/MXNet) and commonly used deep learning algorithms.
• Ability to solve problems independently with good teamwork and communication skills.
