About the position

The Machine Learning Data Scientist role at Quizlet involves developing and enhancing machine learning and AI-driven products to improve the monetization strategy of the platform. Responsibilities

  • Envision, research, develop, and improve high impact ML/AI driven products and features, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain production Python services used by over 50M students and teachers around the world every month.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ML/AI and educational technology to ensure that our platform remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Help to continuously evaluate and improve both new and existing ML/AI models and products.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in machine learning and a proven track record of delivering impactful, production ML solutions at scale.
  • 2+ years of experience working with machine learning techniques to enhance monetization strategies.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning approaches and techniques, as well as of product and user needs.
  • Proficiency in Python and production engineering best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Passion for education and a strong interest in leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience for students.

  • Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $150,000 - $215,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options.
