As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Spotify USA Inc., you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with a cross-functional agile team that includes software engineers, data engineers, machine learning experts, and other professionals to develop and enhance new product features. This position requires a strong foundation in machine learning principles and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team to deliver high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for prototyping machine learning models using TensorFlow or similar platforms, and your expertise will be crucial in deploying and monitoring these models on large-scale distributed clusters such as Apache Mesos or Google Cloud. In this role, you will utilize advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including regression analysis, properties of distributions, and statistical tests, to inform your machine learning strategies. Your experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be essential, as will your proficiency in using BigQuery for data analysis. You will also be tasked with designing and developing end-to-end business logic serving pipelines using Java, ensuring that the solutions you create are robust and scalable. A key aspect of your work will involve understanding the advantages and disadvantages of various machine learning techniques, such as Logistic Regression and Deep Learning. You will also engage in data exploration and visualization using tools like Matplotlib or Jupyter Notebooks, which will aid in the development of complex end-to-end machine learning pipelines for online training and inference. This position offers the flexibility of telecommuting, allowing you to work from any location within the U.S.
