Atlassian is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our DevAI team, which is focused on innovating core intelligence solutions within our developer AI products. This role is pivotal in integrating large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and developing end-to-end AI features using cutting-edge technologies. As part of a diverse and talented group of scientists and software engineers, you will collaborate with multiple partner teams across the company to deliver world-class developer AI products that will shape the future of software development. Your responsibilities will encompass both general and daily tasks. General responsibilities include problem-solving to identify complex challenges and provide creative solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, effectively communicating technical details, and engaging in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI. Daily responsibilities involve designing LLM-based methodologies and algorithms, performing data preprocessing and feature engineering, conducting experiments to evaluate product performance, implementing and optimizing machine learning pipelines, and monitoring and maintaining deployed intelligence solutions to ensure their accuracy and efficiency. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong foundation in machine learning and applied science, with a minimum of 10 years of related industry experience and at least 5 years of technical expertise in the field. You should have experience building and scaling machine learning models in business applications, the ability to communicate complex data science concepts to diverse audiences, and an agile development mindset that values constant iteration and improvement. While not required, it is advantageous to have experience in the code intelligence space, developer productivity, or related fields, as well as experience working in consumer or B2C spaces for SaaS product providers or in the enterprise/B2B space. Familiarity with developing deep learning-based models and working on LLM-related applications will also be beneficial.
