About the position

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will be part of the Global AI/ML Product & Platforms team at Visa, focusing on building scalable and responsible AI/ML and Data products. This role involves developing automated pipelines for AI/ML models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models in production. The engineer will also mentor team members and stay updated on the latest algorithmic techniques to enhance Visa's offerings.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end automated pipelines for AI/ML models including model development, validation, refit, recalibration, monitoring, and serving.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and cross-functional partners to design and deploy AI/ML solutions.
• Lead the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models in production, ensuring high quality and performance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance personalization capabilities by analyzing consumer and client needs.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the technical growth of the team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Conduct A/B tests and experiments to fine-tune algorithms and models.
• Stay updated on state-of-the-art algorithmic techniques and adapt them to Visa's business.
• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, high-performance distributed systems.
• Support strategic planning, business analysis, and technical knowledge of ML Engineering and data architecture solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years with an Advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science with analytics expertise.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in AI/ML model development and implementation.
• Experience in building AI/ML model pipelines and scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Technical skills in Hadoop ecosystem technologies, Spark, Python, SQL, and Scala.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS for MLOps model development and implementation.
• Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and D3.
