About the position

The Senior Maintenance Technician at Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for residents and staff. This full-time position involves a variety of tasks including minor repairs, maintenance duties, and participation in an on-call rotation for emergency situations. Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform general upkeep including painting, minor plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
• Participate in an on-call rotation responding to 24-hour emergency facility situations.
• Perform general residential maintenance repairs, including drywall patches and touch-up painting.
• Open clogged drains, fix leaks, and perform other simple plumbing jobs.
• Perform simple carpentry tasks such as installing shelving and repairing doors.
• Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, and install alarm, data, and cable TV lines.
• Maintain tools and equipment in working order and manage tool inventory.
• Complete and update electronic work orders and emails.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in related maintenance trade in similar Residential Disability Housing Facilities.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of contractual obligations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a supervisory role in a maintenance setting.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in maintenance.
