About the position

The Manager at MGM Resorts International is responsible for planning and organizing resources to perform routine and scheduled functions. This role involves ensuring effective training of team members, maintaining accurate financial records, and adhering to corporate accounting policies. The Manager also focuses on continuous improvement, process design, and technology integration to enhance operations within Shared Services, while fostering a high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize resources for routine and scheduled functions.
  • Ensure team members are effectively trained in their assigned processes.
  • Review work products and communicate changes, issues, or status to affected parties.
  • Model core values of the department and develop practices for team satisfaction and engagement.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts reflect accurate financial positions adhering to GAAP and corporate policies.
  • Integrate principles of Shared Services into departmental processes and projects.
  • Enhance process design across multiple business units for scalability and consistency.
  • Recommend strategy and implementation design for new or increased business volumes.
  • Monitor and drive the LEAN Educated program and training among the team.
  • Participate in execution of FSSC strategy for continuous improvements.
  • Initiate and sponsor qualified processes for automation supporting strategic direction.
  • Build, develop, and improve operations, processes, and procedures in Shared Services.
  • Manage service level expectations, performance metrics, and KPIs.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial controls and risk measurement elements.
  • Coordinate activities and production of documents for internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of finance concepts, methods, standards, and principles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with technology integration (RPA, AI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
