Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail oriented Senior Manager, AMZL Supply Chain Manager to oversee Supplier Development Engineers and support supplier sourcing for our WW Process Engineering program. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, contract manufacturing, change management, and system supplier and/or technology sourcing. Our Senior Manager must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. They also must be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. Key Job Responsibilities include partnering with the Process Engineering & Design team to explore new technologies to improve Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery stations' stow and pick processes. The Senior Manager will lead the Supply Chain effort including suppliers sourcing, selection, qualification, cost negotiation and delivery from solution development to pilot and future scaling. They will develop the scaling strategy with cross functional teams inclusive of Engineering, Design, Procurement, Legal etc. to develop options for sourcing and deploying improved stow and pick solutions across the global last mile network. Additionally, the Senior Manager will partner with the PE team to create a detailed requirements and roadmap document for the target success criteria. They will build mechanisms and lead initiatives to ensure that suppliers' costs meet or exceed established payback goals, constantly seeking ways to reduce spending and demonstrating the ability to advise business owners on whether a given purchase is reasonable and justified. The role also involves developing and implementing Supply Chain strategy, working with cross-functional teams to ensure that strategies are executed, and effectively communicating in both written and verbal format to gain customer and supplier buy-in to drive them towards anticipated outcomes. Finally, the Senior Manager will determine which suppliers should be positioned for long-term contracts based on the suppliers' overall qualification and value to the business and establish and implement strategies for partnering with these suppliers.
