Growth in our digital advertising business is key to Walmart's overall growth strategy. Walmart Connect is seeking a Senior Manager, Analytical Lead, Media Insights for Shared Services. Reporting to a Senior Manager, Media Insights, responsible for streamlining analytics, reporting, and insights support, you will bring the analytical rigor, responsiveness, and creativity required to support WMC's market leading advertising measurement and insights. As an individual contributor, you will assist in the creation of platforms that automate and produce sophisticated media performance analyses and customer insights to support our Media Analytics organization as they help advertisers understand media performance, optimize media strategy, and generate incremental investment. As a Senior Data Scientist you will be expected to mentor and help guide your more junior counterparts.

Responsibilities

  • Architect sophisticated machine learning solutions that scale across the organization and establish best practices for model development, testing, and deployment.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced automation technologies and AI in reporting processes and develop comprehensive data quality strategies that ensure trust in enterprise reporting.
  • Set the vision for data visualization and storytelling across the organization.
  • Translate multifaceted datasets into client-centric insights, aligning supplier strategies with emerging retail and media industry trends.
  • Lead development of advanced statistical models and data methodologies, providing strategic guidance to analysts in deriving insights and translating complex findings into impactful business decisions.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, sales, marketing, product leadership, and data engineering teams to align strategies and deliver holistic scalable service solutions for client-facing teams.
  • Spearhead innovation in analytical methodologies, leveraging SQL, Python, and/or R as well as advanced visualization tools to streamline processes and elevate insights.

Requirements

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Option 2: Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Option 3: 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or business insights, ideally within the digital or retail media ecosystem.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL or similar programming languages.
  • Proficient in advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
  • Experience in data automation, including hands-on experience with data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms, and a proven track record of building scalable, automated data workflows.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity while operating in a fast paced, start-up type of environment.
  • Strong collaborative skills with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development.
