About the position

We are the B2B Frontline Authority Systems Technology Team, part of the Frontline Enterprise Technology Team within Zillow's Core Technology organization. Our mission is to build and maintain systems that empower sales and service operators across ten of Zillow's B2B lines of business, including Premier Agent, Rentals, and ShowingTime+. We focus on addressing frontline operator challenges through technology, aiming to enhance productivity and efficiency metrics by leveraging automation and simplification. Our approach emphasizes the use of established platforms like Salesforce, advocating for standard capabilities over customized solutions to maximize return on investment. In this role, we are seeking an expert software development manager to lead a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, driving engineering best practices across our organization. As a Senior Manager in Applications Engineering, you will be responsible for building, coaching, and developing a successful team. You will empower your team to innovate by aligning their work with the company's strategic goals. Managing capacity and staffing will be crucial to ensure that your team delivers maximum business value. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality software, balancing the pressures of speed-to-market with the need for scalable solutions. Establishing strong relationships with partners across various product and engineering teams will be essential. You will identify and mitigate technology and team-related risks over a year-long horizon, ensuring that your team meets operational expectations, including prompt incident responses and thorough root cause analyses. Additionally, you will develop an engineering vision for the technology you oversee, prioritize engineering backlog items, and lead your team through changes effectively. This position is categorized as remote, allowing employees to work from any location within the U.S., with specific salary ranges applicable to certain states.
